Since being exposed to the bare wooden box, sold at most craft stores, seeing what was commonly done with them ( mainly kids projects and those countrified, one-stroke efforts by Donna Dewberry) and soundly rejecting common, decorative techniques, I have been creating my own objet d'art with them, considering the surfaces as mini-canvas. Some are improvisational works and some quite detailed, decoupaged and prepared. See the ones that people have acquired here.
